Jamie Hughes M.A., BCBA Executive Director |
Ms.
Hughes founded Autism Consulting Services to serve the needs of
families in South Texas and has over 11 years experience working with
children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental
disabilities. Ms. Hughes holds a Master of Arts degree in Applied
Behavior Analysis ( ABA ) from The Ohio State University in Columbus,
Ohio and is a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA). Ms. Hughes has
worked as a supervisor of in-home ABA programs, behavior consultant for
children receiving early intervention services, and has served as
coordinator of behavior services for a private agency serving the
Denver, CO metro area. While living in Denver, Ms. Hughes served as
adjunct faculty and taught an introductory course on applied behavior
analysis at Metro State College of Denver. Prior to founding Autism
Consulting Services, Ms. Hughes served as workshop coordinator and
educational consultant for Behavior Analysts, Inc. working under the
supervision of Dr. James Partington, providing trainings and clinical
services focusing on teaching language and learning skills to children
with autism. Karen Flotkoetter M.A., BCBA Associate |
Ms.
Flotkoetter is Board Certified Behavior Analyst who is currently living
in the state of Florida. Miss Flotkoetter obtained her Bachelor
of Science degree in Exceptional Student Education at the University of
Central Florida, and is a Florida certified teacher for Exceptional
Education grades kindergarten through twelve. Ms. Flotkoetter
went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree from The Ohio State
University in Applied Behavior Analysis ( ABA ). Currently, she
is working on her Autism Certification Endorsement for her teaching
certification at the University of Florida. Ms. Flotkoetter has
served as district Behavior Analyst for the past three years in Marion
County Public schools. In this role, she works directly with
students, provides consultation to teachers on classroom management,
and provides training to district employees and parents. She has also
worked as an independent Behavior Analyst for one year in Marion County
working with adults in the community. Ms. Flotkoetter is based out of
Orlando, FL where she provides consultative services to children with
developmental disabilities and behavior problems. Ms. Flotkoetter is a member of the following professional associations: - Association for Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Dwiggins M.A., BCBA

Ms.
Dwiggins is a doctoral candidate at The Ohio State University in
Columbus, OH. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and
received her Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis ( ABA ) from
OSU. Ms. Dwiggins has been working with the families and their children
with autism since 1993. Ms. Dwiggins was originally trained in Lovaas
Methodology and has also received extensive training in Verbal
Behavior, Natural Environment Training and Precision Teaching. Ms.
Dwiggins has interned at STARS School with Behavior Analysts, Inc. and
with Fabrizio and Moors Consulting, gaining training in Precision
Teaching. Ms. Dwiggins currently serves children with autism throughout
Ohio under the supervision of Dr. Robert Gordon, Ph.D. Ms. Dwiggin's
areas of interest are Precision Teaching and investigating efficient
and effective programming combining discrete trial, naturalistic
teaching strategies and fluency-based instruction. Ms. Dwiggins is a member of the following professional associations: - Association of Behavior Analysis (ABA)
